Kefalonia is a commercial island that is continuously evolved over the years. Today, it has a wide range of shops and products scattered in various points of the island, giving visitors who love shopping a particular experience.

In Argostoli, the capital of the island, you will find dozens of shops and all the services a visitor may need.

In the central market (Antoni Tritsi Street) search for local products, unique cheese varieties, herbs and spices, spoon sweets and honey, local liqueur, unique wines and of course fresh bread and fruits.

Along the main street of the harbor are plenty touristic shops.

Crossing through the Sitemporon Street, the main shopping street, you will find stores with top designer clothes, footwear, electronics and accessories.

The central meeting point for shopping lovers is the “Lithostroto”.

A street full of small or large stores, where you can find wooden handicrafts, ceramics, traditional and handmade linen, embroideries, woven scarves, hats and ornaments, small furniture, souvenirs and local products.

Of course there are shops with modern jewelry, clothing, accessories, footwear, handbags, t-shirts and more…

On either side of Lithostroto one can find small streets and alleys with small picturesque stores, cafés and boutiques.

The coastal regions have seafood stores, along with restaurants, taverns, bars and cafés.

Similar is the siting of the other markets in the island such as those in Lixouri, Sami, Skala, Fiskardo, Assos and Agia Efimia.

Whichever point of Kefalonia you choose for shopping, you can rest assured that the market will have products for all tastes and budgets, so you’re carefree and enjoy your vacation!
